My teammates and I were responsible for the teaching demonstration of Unit 4. Before we presented the whole teaching to our classmates, we have discussed several times to generate some interesting activities which are suitable for junior high school students to take part in and enjoy. Next, I will share some of activities that I like in our teaching demonstration.
1. Review ordinal numbers through the game "Which floor are you going to?"
a. After students learn ordinal numbers, the teacher can divide them into groups (5 or 6 people in each group).
b. Ask students to imagine that they are taking the elevator to a certain floor.
c. There will be a building on PowerPoint; one of its floor would be highlighted by red color.
d. When they see the floor highlighted by red color and they know the answer, they can raise their hands to answer the question "which floor are you going to?".
2. Practice twelve months through the game "Get the word".

b. The teacher has to stick the flash cards of twelve months to the blackboard in a disorder way.
c. Then, the teacher would tell the students about the month the teacher wants them to get.
d. After giving them the information about which month to pick, the teacher would call a number. Students who are assigned with the number have to "rush" to the front and get the word.
3. Practice "months and ordinal numbers" through the game "When is his/her birthday?"
a. After teaching twelve months and ordinal numbers, the teacher can help students become familiar with those things by doing this game. (In our teaching plan, this game serves as a review game.)
b. We prepared several pictures of some famous celebrities in Taiwan and put the pictures on the PowerPoint. Students have to guess the birthdays of those celebrities by using certain patterns. For instance, "Is it after May?", "Is it before July?" or "Is it on October first?". Students can practice "after, before and on+particular date" through this activity. These words are taught in this unit and they are important as well.
4. Coupon activity after the reading "Every Day Can Be Mother's Day"
a. The teacher can combine the coupon activity with the reading "Every Day Can Be Mother's Day"on page 48.
b. After teaching the reading, the teacher can teacher students with other words that can be put in their coupons for their mothers.

c. The teacher can provide an example of the coupon for Mom.

*How to make sure they do what they have write on the coupons?
To make sure the students really keep their promise, the teacher can ask students to write down what their moms reactions are. Also, the teacher can ask students to keep track of the date of the coupons that are used by their moms.
